The best athletic clothing brand

Athletic clothing was first made in the 1920s for playing sports. They were referred to as garments for mobility. Meaning they were more loose and more breathable. These clothes were mainly made for women that played tennis or croquet. These clothes were only available to the wealthy at the time due to being custom fitted and using more expensive fabric. Athletic wear is a fashion just like any other clothing around today. Many companies sell this comfortable clothing but the prices can have a wide range so the question is what brand has the best quality for a good price. Five of the most popular athletic brands this year are Nike, Lululemon, Adidas, Gymshark, and Under Armour. Nike leads the pack in sales with 39.1 billion dollars. Second is Adidas with 25.6 billion in sales. Third is Under Armour with 5.2 billion in sales. Fourth is Lululemon with 3.4 billion in sales. Fifth is Gymshark with 500 million in sales. To scale affordability we will look at the average cost of a shirt from each company. Nikes average shirt cost is 30 dollars. Adidas average shirt cost is also 30 dollars. Under Armour shirts average at 25 dollars. Lululemon’s average shirt cost is 70 dollars. Gymshark’s average shirt cost is 20 dollars. The skew is obviously Lululemon with 40 more dollars on average of the next choice. But they are part of the top five for a reason. Quality and warranty are the reason people love lululemon. But is it worth the money. In my opinion its totally worth it. With a lifetime warranty on every product, any of their product will be a go-to wear for years because if ripped, the repair is free. But not everybody can spend 70 dollars on a shirt so this can be the best for that reason. The opposite skew is Gymshark. The pros of Gymshark are price and quality. But the con is they are online only. No storefront means your losing a large group of people. This is a strong contender but still doesn’t have enough publicity to be the best. Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour are all similar. Everybody knows their name, prices, and quality. But they reason one sticks out is sales and publicity. Nike holds the throne for now but my feeling is their rule may come to an end when smaller brands become more developed.
